The "Venom Scorpion Bot"
can be connected to a PC

this idea seems to be spread widely.
So this is my version of a mechanical scorpion.
This one is RC

notice the Venom Level Display at the end of the tail or the additional blades hidden in the pincers

Modelling time: 20 h
Render time: 1h 50 min

Nice render! And I can vouch for C4D being the easiest 3D application to use... Don't know how I got by without it (BRYCE 5 WAS A NIGHTMARE! I was trying to model organic things in a 'landscape renderer' lol)

Now I am in a 3D school learning Maya, and it makes me want to rip my hair out. All of these studios should totally switch to C4D... they already use Bodypaint in most movie textures nowadays.

Thank you!

That's right. Although Maya has some features I miss in C4D.
Mental Ray and fluids, for example.
Nevertheless I am using C4D in 99% of all situations. I even use it for almost every 2D-stuff. It's quite ultimative.

C4Ds advanced render is top notch, and now there is VRAY for C4D... mental ray isnt all it's cracked up to be. Also, Realflow is used for C4D fluids, they integrate seamlessly.

Would be cool if you can explain, how you turn realflow into c4d-particles. I have no Idea, how it works with xpresso.

I use fryrender, when it has to be photorealistic. Takes time, but pays off.

I have no clue. I have never used Realflow lol. But I know it integrates well with C4D. Join the c4dcafe (www.c4dcafe.com) it is a huge C4D forum. I am sure people on there know how to use realflow

The only way I get Realflow into C4d is via mesh import. But that doesn't support motion blur without further efforts and time.

Hmmm I am not sure how to use them together, but I am sure there are tutorials online.
