Fire material created with Cinema 4D. Itīs a complex, layered mix of different gradient and fresnel shaders. SSS effect faked by using refraction blur at 100% strength and reflection blur at about 20 % blur. Absorption also activated. Look much more realsitic than C4Dīs integrated subsurface scattering. Diffraction glow created with simulens. Changed exposure and saturation slightly with Photoshop. The simple trick is to have a fast machine, so you can change settings in realtime.
